I've no idea how far and wide such a promotion goes, but today at my Sam's Club in their "Free Sample" machine, they were giving away Magic Erasers.

About twenty years ago we were going to caravan to a family outing. My wife's uncle had us follow him across town, about 15-20 minutes so he could fill up with gas for .04 cents a gallon less than most places. There were fourteen of us. The gas we all used and the time we spent greatly outweighed the saving he gained!

Sounds like he was penny wise and pound foolish! I get to deal with people like that at work sometimes. FUN!

Luckily, most of my customers aren't like that.
