Hey Pros,

Just got a set of GEE fenders. I noticed there is a little nub on the inside where the fender would contact the body. Am I to file this down (a mold mark) or make a depression in the car body and slide it in for gluing (tab A into slot B)?

Thanks,

Dr. T

Trim it, cut it, file it, sand it, grind it, saw it or melt it (well may be not). /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

Whatever you do, make it flush, flat, even or smooth and you'll be good.

So I attached the fender in front of my NDFW as a trial. Used the rubber band as a spacer. (Thanks for that tip!) Very smooth. Going to attach rears next and then DFW.

Questions: My rears are 3 degrees canted and the fender seems to line up with the wheels as is, but do other sand the area the car body at the point of attachment so the fender is also canted at 3 degrees?
Also I assume that its best to leave off the DFW fender, tune the car, glue the axle in place, THEN attach the DFW fender correct? I have seen photos on here that some work will be required to align the fender with the wheel. How do most do this? Pare away car body with an exacto knife? Sand? Shims?

Thanks guys,
Dr. T

Every builder does it slightly different. Your plan is solid. Sand check, sand check. Happy. Glue
