Ok, I can only find a few, a very few references to this, and I'm hoping someone will shed some light on it.

What is "Ghost Graphite"?

From what little I've read, it's some kind of oil based lube that looks like graphite, basically it's a cheater oil. Is that correct?

What is this stuff made from?

How well does it work compare to regular oil, or versus graphite?

Are there any tell-tale signs it's been used on a car? I would assume applying additional real dry powdered graphite would gum a car lubed with this stuff....

Where does one get this stuff? I can't find anything on it anywhere on the internet. Is there some black market PWD store that carries it? Or is it some home-made concoction?

Just looking for info, I'm helping inspect cars at an upcoming race with rules for graphite only, I want to know how to detect this, if it even exists anymore.

For more information on this, if I remember correctly, contact TXChemist.
Ghost Graphite is my home made stuff for Cubs. Went to beta test and got pulled back- not fast if car sits for a few weeks before next race. Replaced by a process for Cubs using waxed wheels and simple axle prep but no oil or graphite.

TXChemeistm. How does you scout prep cars performance compare to oil prepped cars? I will be testing a none graphite and none oil process for scouts as well.

A pro doing oil or graphite will be faster.
A Cub doing graphite will be slower. Most Cubs doing oil will be slower.
