Gone hunting.

It's hunting season and as much as I love pinewood derby cars it is going to take a back seat to hunting every time. My elk hunt starts Saturday then I got a call today and someone surrendered a limited entry mule deer tag and I am the next on the list to buy it and umm yes I think I will thank you. So that is next month and I have a lot of scouting to do since it is kind of last minute thing. Then October I usually guide for elk and deer rifle hunts. And then I have another elk hunt in November. And I am really thinking about getting a bear tag since they are over the counter tags this year.
Anyway I will be back it's just hard to build cars in the mountains.

It sounds like you will have a lot of fun! I love the mountains! I imagine there are some good areas for hunting not far from where you live. Best of luck to you! I'll look forward to your return and hearing about your mountain man adventures.

What? No more draw for bear? I put in for 8 years to get my bear tag.

The bear tags are new this year it an over the counter no dog or bait hunt. They started it because the bear population is getting out of control over here. I am looking at hunting in the south uinta mountains. Last year I ran into 5 bears in one week while hunting elk and one of those was stalking me as I followed the blood trail of the elk I had shot. That's an interesting story and I have a lot of it on film.
