Grandson wins District as a Wolf.
First a shot of the car. Inferno with the graphics designed by the Cub, and the Vinyl cut out as two chrome sides and a glossy print for the top all done by Cub. Cub glued the GEE fenders in place and helped put the metal tape on the fenders so we can peel them off for the next car, except he now wants to keep them so the car looks nice. He did a good job on axle polish, Grandpa did Wheels ( used a very clever process called "add prep for oil"). He did tuning. ( He will do his own wheels next year).

Now the happy Cub. They ran 5 cars in the finals and passed out trophies to the top three. Then they asked all kids to stand for a photo. The fifth place Cub was next to Jordan. 5th place was running 16 car lengths behind. He was a brave boy to have to endure never winning and still tried to smile.

The times were NOT from a super competitive District. Our Pack was not competitive either, and did have dumb rules- Graphite 4 on the floor. Made a separate car for District with same rules as NPWDR. Here is a look at how the Pack and District would stack up against the Novice class.

Thanks all!

It was overkill this year, but you never know when 1/2 the District shows up with plug&play cars! The typical Cub cars are getting SLOWER.
A. less time spent on car
B. no tools at all very common
C. less quality control over manufacturing and more and more kits from China
D. smaller families so less long term goals from Dads in pinewood.
E. billions of barely better than nothing advice confuse new racers.
F. strange wrongheaded trend forcing 4 on the floor level wheels
G. Average ability to think or even dream is disappearing rapidly
********************************
so while the average Cub car gets slower, the knowledgeable parents will find good kits and super kits are available to help them get in the game.
Those lucky few will find DD4H.

Crash- makes you want to help every kid to understand what makes a car fast. If the slow kid is in my Pack, I go out of my way all year long to try and work with the parents and kid to do better- all my Grandkids are in other cities, so I can go all out with any that want help without any worry around here.
