I must be a complete introvert with a horrible work ethic wasting over 3K in parts alone from John, not including items/equipment that John doesn't sell. I'm not asking for any special attention or a pat on the back, but we should be careful on who is believed not to be be supportive of this hobby. There are things some of us can not do...

Take nothing away from Bulldog (I do admire his enthusiasm and resolve), but I am positive there are others here are putting the same effort forth.

The surest path to success is to try one more time.

Absolutely agree, which is why you will see me racing again next month.

Where is that coming from man? Nobody insinuated or even remotely made any indication of this. /images/boards/smilies/wave.gif

You are welcome to call me anytime (within reason, lol) man! I'm pretty sure I mentioned that, I usually do. My apologies if I didn't.

I don't believe this thread was intended to take away from anyone's participation or contribution. I think there should be more threads like this. There's far to few congratulatory threads on this forum. It's hard to win a few classes, do great in others and about all that's said is "Congratulations to all the racers." I've won big at times and barely anyone said a word or took notice. Don't take it personal, it's just the way people are. /images/boards/smilies/biggrin.gif

Great job Bulldog! Looks like all those blank blocks helped you nail the perfect drill. Kudos on picking up speed big time, getting into the finals and running with the big dogs! Watch out Bullet we got a Bulldog on the loose!

Yeah I was thinking the same! That picture Bulldog posted of all those drilled blocks is clear evidence of a strong dedication. I re-post here some relevant quotes that Bulldog included in the post "it took 26 builds" http://www.pinewoodderbyonline.com/post/it-took-26-builds-7291294?pid=1286147234#post1286147234:

“Success is most often achieved by those who don’t know that failure is inevitable.”

“Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.”

“Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end. Failure is something we can avoid only by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.” - Denis Waitley

That said, it should not be minimized the value of the input from a guru such as Mr. Kinser. One can work VERY HARD and get no-where if you don't know what you are looking for. Being pointed in the correct direction is critical and in this case much deserved by Mr. Bulldog, who at this point appears to be a shoe-in for NPWDRL Rookie of the Year. Congrats on a great showing and best wishes for future success !!!/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif
