Hmmmm... lets see. I deserve to know because...ah nevermind I can't come up with anything that I've done to be worthy yet. Although if I did know i wouldn't be able to find the time to try it and use it against anyone. Little league season is in and I've got only a few minutes to browse here till who knows when. I have enough ideas on my list to try, I don't think I'll have time for another.

I've been working on some sort of process other than what is on the DVD, but similar in many ways. But I think my biggest problem is in the setup, after speaking with several people behind the scenes I think I may have a handle on it. Do I deserve the new process, not sure. Setup first and then maybe the new process.

The up and coming race next weekend will tell me if I have the right setup. I'll be happy with a fast car, this will be my new process, the setup. Until then, will I be deserving of the process, we'll see. I will keep plugging away at my own processes looking for that silver bullet... for now.

For me, the challenge here is developing a process, like QT and others have found in the past, then have everyone asking me "What did you do to get that kind of speed?" I will get there. If by chance I had the process I would still be looking for a new process. How can I improve it? I guess I live R&D.

Gravity X ..you are on the money... Don't care how fast a new prep process is... It's not worth a hill of Beans!!!! if the Set-up ain't right... You got the right idea ...Set-up is your foundation that's where most the speed comes from.. the prep is icing on the cake. Learning a good set-up takes building car after car and not giving up or become discouraged...

Well Um QT is my partner in crime and he won't even let me in so there you go. I will say though if I had that kind of secret I would not let it out until after nationals for sure.

Im going to have to agree with Gravity X and SoGone! The thrill of winning is just that much more when you can figure it out on your own. Anyone can buy information. Anyone can buy a Super fast car and win. But when you pick up tips here and there and you read and search the forum and come up with your own way it just means that much more! I dont want to know Any secrets! That way I can never be accused of telling them

I agree with you. Winning is way better when it's something that you have created yourself, and helpful tips along the way are nice too. I don't claim to know it all and I am still reading older posts for tips and info. There is still so much for me to learn and there is no better place to learn it than right here..(really hope that came out right...only had one cup of coffee so far.) I didn't mean to offend anyone if that is how it came out because everyone has been great here with helping me understand a lot of things. Thanks to everyone here for the tips and helpful info.

You guys have all been clowned. Where did I say I would give it away? I have been here 4 years and guys starting today have as much info as I have. Do you really think I would just give the speed away?

I asked how badly it is wanted. I now have something that should put me in the hunt. I can tell you that everything I have found has come from mix and match from what is already on this board. Our boy Kinser is fast and his prep is his own process (which he has made clear will never be known). So I have found something that works. Thats exciting not something to get all huffy over. Race em boys. This is all about fun anyhow.

Agreed. I think half the fun is R/ D. Anyone can buy a fast car and race it, but that only mean you have money. Anyone can sit here and beg chips for the new "secret" oil process, but what does that get you. Sure your car goes faster, because someone else told you how to do it, might as well just buy a car. Don't get me wrong, pro advise is great, but you shouldnt rely on the, for everything. They got there by R/D of their own, not by riding on someone else's coat tails.

Ok I have done lots of R&D and after 2.5 years when I figured I couldn't beat em so I joined em. I have watched the DVD so many times its probably about worn out. I have worked with John in his shop. I have prepped hundreds of wheels over the years. I will NOT give away anything because I am using the oil process everyone already knows. I have added some adjustments from my own trial an error. Nothing new nothing magic. It has to to be your "own" process to be unique. Mine is not unique it just has my personal twist which is working well. This discovery came from John, QT and I last month the night before the race as we were preparing for the race checking cars and setting up. We always talk shop and since we all run these races together each month we comment on new ideas and trials. QT and John had something and I had something. When combined it just works. Is it faster? We will see next weekend. Those who get upset that things are shared have nothing to worry about. We have all leared from each other. The old days where someone would not give you any help was just flat frustrating. If I start winning will I keep it a seceret? Sure for a while to bask in the momentary glory. But to improve upon it others will need to test and see if it can be duplicated and improved. Thats what makes this league so great. Although I am not the fastest out there the knowledge I have gained spending hundreds of hours in John's shop has been invalueable. If I were to ever totally focus instead of this being a hobby, I could probably raise to the top. Fact is I do this for fun and enjoy it. Win or loose I enjoy smack talking and getting to know all of you better. Its funny that a stupid post about fast times quickly will gain you new friends. I have said it before I am happy to help. I will not tell you anything that isn't already on this board because many are more talented than myself. I hope this clarify's where I stand with this league. The league comes first for me and the winning is already happening due to the dedication of John and all of you who participate. One day I may have a moment in the spotlight on the track. However the trophy I have received yet was posted as Reso's new avatar. Thats what I want buddies nationwide who chat and enjoy this league.
