I built my first car about a year ago spanked a few local cars but knew that wasnt a real test. Then entered my first race in the NPWDRL @ rocky mnt speedway last June and got crushed.. But it felt great, the guys live were awesome and very helpfull. My car was so slow it put Opa to sleep on the couch. I know that all events and tracks bring different times, but will this Mid America event bring out some competition that doesnt belong to our league and really give a good head to head race with other good racers out there. I know that many of you have been around the block and know whats out there. Im a little sheltered and would love to see the boys here whoop up on all the Butterholes out there. I guess my real question is, are we the kings of speed or just legends in our own minds here @ the NPWDRL...

Every good racer that is known is now or will be here. Feel confident that if you climb this mountain then you will see all the other peaks below you.

I am curious how my son's car will do at mid america. He is entered in the open scout division. I am interested to see how far off we are. We did not get a chance to run this year's car on a best track, but our car from last year did. It ran right around 2.99, 3.00. On the pack track this year's car ran a good .08 faster. I understand the different track setups as well as I am a little nervous that I had to take wheels and axles off then realign, but I would really like to see under 2.98 (and hopefully faster) on graphite. We will see.

There are definitely some fast racers out there that don't send in or race much anymore. But I think John is right if they are at the top of their game one way or another they will end up at a NPWDRL race.

Without a doubt the NPWDRL has the largest breadth of competition. I've observed league racing for four years, if you want to find speed this is the place.

Well said Reso!! I found out first hand that this is the best place to find speed!!! And I did find it...Unfortunately it was on everyone elses cars...
blah
lol
lol
But on a serious note, I will say that I am faster now than I ever thought I was and I know that I will get faster in the future...with great help from my friends here at the one and only NPWDRL!!!!!
cool

Do we have racers entering most the available classes. A full sweep with NPWDRL racers in all classes would be awsome.
