How to find the proper location to Mark your Rear for staging. (possible more stable run times)

I helped out a friend the other day and it seems to work pretty good.

I do this because I have a slight inset on my DFW

When you send in your car, 5 kids has a nice write up on how to mark your car but what its missing is how to find that mark. Now correct me if I wrong but this seems to work.

For people without a track, build a 2-3' foot section of track or just a board and a straight edge similar to riding the rail. Push it down the track a bit and take note of where the rail is under the rear and mark it. Now 5 kids puts a mark on top of his, I went a step further and on a white piece of tape I put a Verticle mark with a sharpie and and arrow pointing toward it on the very rear of the car. (hope that's ok!) But I just wanted the person staging to see it.

Great advice. In addition to this you also want to compensate by moving the rear marks as much as you move the DFW off of the rail. This is a great start. Some cars like to be staged a little squirely too, I have one that likes to be staged really weird but the results are great.
