How wide are the Delrin washers that DD4H sells

I bought some delrin washers from DD4H and they are in the mail. I want to start my next build but I need to know how wide the washers are and how thick so I can notch out the correct size space for the washers. Thanks pros, Bulldog- Oh, also should I turn my rear wheels in reverse for a street stock, and if so and all things are equal how much gain would one hope to get? Thanks

You can notch them out if you want to but it's not necessary. I'm just guessing, because I'm to sick to go out in the garage and measure one, they're about .0030 thick. You don't need to run SS wheels in reverse, there thick enough that there are no issues whatsoever. /images/boards/smilies/thumb.gif

Yeah Bulldog,

The wheels are thinned to such a degree that running reverse is necessary once you get down to the 1.3g and under range.

They are more structural to run that way at that width.

The rest of the time everyone runs normal way.

I figure that the head of the nail probably like it that way better.

Right on the button for washers Kinser.

To think of it though Bulldog, I think you want SPACERS to run reversed though. Not washers.

Laserman, Thanks, I'm using the washers to prevent unneeded friction where the DFW touches the car body, I'm just foucing on Street Stock, after I make pro I'll dive into the other classes. I just learned from you guys not to reverse in street stock.

I glue the front on and not the rears. The front gets stuck in the bend groove and the wheel ends up having to turn it. Rough up the side you're going to glue with sandpaper for better adhesion. I think it was 5Kids that said he doesn't glue his at all but I could be wrong on that.

5 Kids says that he glues all washers.

now you are making me doubt myself Kinser. Did I read his post wrong?
Are you running a fever? Or both?

Something tells me that Kinser's memory is better with a high fever than mine is under ideal conditions.

Kinser, So the rears just float in the axle?

The hole is smaller than the axle so I just put the prepped axle through the wheel and stick the washer on a little. Then when I press it into the body of the car it goes on the rest of the way and stays tight against the car.
