I'm a new member, long-time lurker.
I'd like to say THANK YOU!!! to everyone who spills the beans, and lets secrets fly!
I've learned so much here.
I can't believe you guys share this information between yourselves, much less, (give it away) (FREE!), to newbies like me.
I've built a few cars... BUT!
Nothing 'Super-Fast'- But, A few "Winners".
In business, this doesn't exist!
Secrets shared= Money Lost!
THANK YOU! For going against LOGIC, and teaching others, the HOW and the WHY!
If I can add a suggestion, (POST MORE VIDEOS)!!!
Step by Step, (...---...) as some of us are slow, on the lingo/ slang/ physics/ Center of Mass, Center of Gravity, Etc.
Sorry... That seems like too much to ask- BUT>>> If you have a "PERFECT" car, I'd like to see the BUILD! /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif
Thanks, again!

I was a long time lurker as well, BUT, send a car in. If you like building, racing is the icing on the cake. I only started in the late spring and found it to be a whoot...

I agree about getting some more youtube videos out. I skimmed past this site and DD4H a few times before I kind of figured out the landscape of the PWD community. I came across DD4H early but at the time I was just trying to find reliable info about good building tips. I then went on through a lot of other vendor's videos that kind of dominate the search results.

Once I kind of got the basics down u started to check out the products. I usually do so by trying to find reviews and that is when this forum started popping up more. Then instead of just doing Google searches I started just searching the forums.

A few things that I tthink may help grab more attention would be adding the sticky post for "Building tips from the Pinewood Derby King" right on the DD4H website. Maybe even making a new video based on it. There are also tons of league racing videos that when I first came across them I really wasn't sure if they were built the same as a BSA pinewood derby cars were. Maybe adding tags for BSA pinewood derby to the Street stock and BASX videos along with a quick entry in the description say that the techniques used to build this class of cars can be applied to building your scout's PWD cars. I have no Internet marketing skills so this is all mainly spit balling ideas.

One builder's perfect build is NOT another builder's perfect build. Each builder has their own technique and each build from the same builder will not be the same. Each car has it's own "personality".

That is one of the hardest things to understand...yet, so true.
