On the flip side, no squeak stands much of a chance with the arsenal of lubes, oils, sprays, waxes and polishes you guys have tested.....

Major props to whoever bought and tested the expensive liquid glass legends for the first time- that there is some serious dedication. I would have a tough time testing a product that was more than $30 unless I felt it had a lot of potential.

Lololol!!!
You kill me dog!

That post by 5 kids is so amazing!
The best part of his setup goes unmentioned though.

I will spill the beans from what I have learned from building a car with a DFW axle holder.

The 5 Kids approach to the DFW is so significant because with it there is no need to add/ subtract washers on the DFW In order to adjust for steer while maintaining alignment (to keep the rears from dog tracking)

One simply moves the axle holder in or out.

Didn't want this thread to get lost in the mix so I figured I'd bump er back to the top.

The 5K method sure is nifty, makes tuning a cinch

Any tips on how to keep from running the file up the axle? I used a plastic bushing to cover the polished part but started thinking that filings might get pushed in there and scratch it. Maybe some soft leather wrapped around for protection would work.

Tape?

I think I under estimated how tight a fit the 92 axles are. My first time bending I had to "pop" it in to do a final test fit before spraying the axles and oiling. I could barely get it back out. It did leave a mark on the outside edge of the hub. I wasn't very happy with how I got the axles bent. I guess I didn't cut a deep enough groove, the bend ended up under the groove. I am going to try again on a different axle. I am mostly worried that where the bend is in the groove will scratch all the way down the bore.
