Here's a little something I put together for the track times from last month to this month (in the classes I ran) to help determine if I had any improvements...thought I would share it since times and finishes are published anyway. Felt like I did have some improvements based on finish places and my track testing, so I took a guess at the number. I would be interested in your results and thoughts on the track time adjustments...
I think you are right on the money Bullet. I thought going in that my car would run a 2.960 - 2.962 based on the times I was getting on my track.
It looks like we need new Icons for the lower times now achieved.

To try to get a handle on the faster times, I did the following: took the mean average of the top 10 builders best car in January and February, and then looked at the change in this average from Jan to Feb. I did this for BasX, Street Stock and Street Pro
Results:
1) Basx
Jan. 10 best average time 2.9829
Feb. 10 best average time 2.9658
difference = - 0.0171
2) Street Stock
Jan. 10 best average time 2.9664
Feb 10 best average time 2.9471
difference = - 0.0193
3) Street Pro
Jan. 10 best average time 2.9536
Feb 10 best average time 2.9343
difference = - 0.0193
average difference for the 3 classes = - 0.0186
So this agrees with the others' estimates of around a 2 hundredth (0.02 sec) shift in times

Looking at the Street Rods (one track mind), based on the top 4, the speed increase there was 0.0239 seconds.
Then, looking at the September [when my car last raced] results vs Feb ( there were only two valid samples), the time change was 0.0407s. Half of that due to traffic alone, it appears.
Based on that, then, my car had a 0.0494s improvement with the new chassis and wheels. When I get the shimmies dialed out, I might even be competitive! /images/boards/smilies/biggrin.gif

Reso adds the badges but John I think needs to approve a new design before he can start applying them. I don't think there should be a sub 3 badge for 2015. I know there was the 1 race in January with last years set up, maybe any new sub 3s for that race can get the 2014 badge. With the new track setup I think all the speed badges should adjust with the down .02 or at least .01. So the first 2015 badge would be sub 2.99 or 2.98
