I had the opportunity to attend and it was a wild experience. My car was terrible but it was a lot of fun watching. Evidently there was an unexpected winner because there was quite a hub bub among the "pro" racers there and a lot of complaining calling the winner a cheater. I was very disappointed to see them act in that manner instead of being more congratulatory. As a matter of fact I am not sure any of them were in the top racers. Anyhoo, congrats to the winner and a fun event. The long track is sure fun.

Losers are always complaining and calling people cheaters, it's sad really. I saw this several years ago when my son won our pack race. After the race there were kids up in his face yelling "Cheater! You cheated!". It made me upset. I guess they never grow up.

I was also there BigRed. It was a lot of fun and my kids loved it. Unfortunately all three of our cars were in the same heat and the other car that was in with us jumped the track and took them all out and they were not worth a poo after that. But that is racing and sometimes you have luck on your side and sometimes it is against you. I didn't stay around for the final to see all the hub bub but I do know that most of the cars that were in it were all pros from that other league and when you have the "evolution" of the PWD cars combined with the "space" of that place it doesn't surprise me one bit.

Side note, I never got a chance to meet or talk to DerickX racing but I loved the car!! He proudly had the NPWDRL and DD4H on his car and it looked great.

we were there to was a fun day with family.one of are cars ran track record of the day at 4.4890 in lane #3 after two end over ends in stop area in lanes #1 & #2 we ended up in 4th. I did not know about the cheater thing .at second inspection for top 16 the inspector found two cars with narrowed wheels he did not have a gage to cheek them so let them run.

4th place is Awesome!!! Congratulations there was some good competition there. Do you race in any leagues? If not you should consider it.

Wish I would have had the chance to talk with you. I wasn’t really making myself known as I was trying to be a fly on the wall to see if they would say anything about the league. The guy that was accused of cheating was using Cheetah’s, same wheels I did. You can’t tell me that the other “Pro racers” didn’t have modified wheels.

The best part about the guy that won is, this is the first time he used oil and he was just as surprised as everyone else was. Not only that, he actually still had two boys in scouts so I was glad to see him win.

The car you are referring too was damaged because they didn’t close the stop section where the pillow was and it went through the back and hit the door jam breaking a rear wheel and knocked the fender off. I pulled it after that.

I witnessed the same thing from the "pros" at another event. I can honestly say that if you beat me live at an event I will slap you a high five and maybe even give you the Rip Torn belly bump. Everyone has all the same info now so anyone can win. Awesome job to the winner! Thank you for the support DerikX! I hope you did not get shunned too bad for it.

thank you drop zone you definatley need luck on your side racing ther do to pore track conditions. the women staging just plopped them down on the track let them go.my grandson and I had 7 cars running all went to top 16 once they run on lanes 1 & 2 they started slowing down all cars except one had damaged dfw two of them axlells were bent back to the point the dfw was pined against the body.we did not have front fenders
we will see you and gobigred there next year we hope to send in to npwdrl this winter.

Cars going through stop section; cars flipping lanes; rules that could be enforced if they had proper tools, but they didn't bring them ... congrats to you guys that did well, but pardon me for saying - it sounds more like a survival contest than a race !
eeek
I have no desire to put time, money and effort into a PWD car and then have it treated that way. Been there, done that, don't want to go there again.

It is sort of a survival race but the speeds those cars reach is unreal. I would normally agree with you saying it is not worth the time if you could tear up everything you worked hard to build but when my cars went flying I had one of those oh sh#* moments but I looked over at my kids and the all had smiles from ear to ear and that makes it worth it to me. Besides I haven't made a car yet that was worth keeping.
blowup

Here is the car that had the League and DD4H on it. I wish it would have performed better. Next year I will do full fenders with a steel roll cage.

This is post-race, it did look better. Left rear is what hit the wall the wheel was moved to the left front.
