Is it possible to over polish a wheel bore?

Thanks guys; you have been very helpful and gracious. I had already watched John’s video a few times but am definitely a newbie and don’t have the “feel” for very much yet. Without feel, I think I have to be cautious and use defined guidelines. I have pin gages on their way so that will hopefully help and give me some peace of mind.

Mojo, do you prep/polish a pro axle the same as you would a basic speed axle? Is it necessary to use the same starting point and go from 1000 to 5000 grit?

When cubs come over to work on cars, they use the exact same process, for their axles, that I use on pro axles.
