I want to say thank you to JBD, and what a great mentor he has been to me in the past weeks. I have been racing AWANA cars for the last 7 years and just entered league racing this last month at nationals. After getting my...you know what handed to me, I was very eager and excited for more knowledge to race at the next level. What you get in this workshop is years of experience in a short amount of time. I thought I knew a lot about pinewood derby cars in till he started to talk and I knew this was going to be awesome right from the start. I look forward to our talks ever week, and it's been fun to get to know Benji and to find out that he is a true professional. I just raced my first race here at NPWDRL in the AM Basx class (which I was working and missed it live!) and just using just a little of what I have learned I was honored and humbled to win my first race here. I'm excited to race this next month to start putting it all together and to race more with all you top notch guys.
