I don’t know how everyone else’s luck has been trying to find Jig-A-Loo in their area, but no one sells it in mine. I did order a can off Amazon but cost me $18.23 for a 3oz can. “I was desperate.”

I am considering purchasing a case, of course more than I would need. Would anyone have interest is purchasing some form me? Just doing the rough math, I’m thinking $12 shipped for the 10.9oz can to keep me whole. If you want more than one can, it would give you a break on shipping.

Just throwing it out there, let me know your thoughts.

Ace hardware can order it for you if there is one in your area. Ordered one today for $7.99 no charge on shipping.

That’s what I hear, but there isn’t an Ace within 50 miles of me. I tried to order off their website, but it doesn’t show. If anyone knows where I can order it for under $10 for the 10.9oz can please let me know. My 3 oz can arrived the other day, what a joke.

That is awesome. I just placed my order. Thank you so much for the link. I bought 10 cans for what I paid for one off amazon.

Thank You Cam-Car, I have an ACE withing a stones throw of my house. And I know because I check the distance with rocks when angry quite often. They have ordered me Jig more than once and then claimed ignorance. That is the key, more and more stores run by overwhelming ignorance.
Just ordered from reliableparts- NOTE: they do not have a super clever search engine so be sure and search for Jig-a-Loo with the dashes.

That's one heck of a deal! Nice find!

When I need more of this stuff I will be shopping here. Bulk quantity definitely gets the best deal with the flat rate shipping.

Try www.reliableparts.com. A 3 oz can is .99 with a flat rate shipping cost of $9.50. 10 cans would cost you a total of $19.40 including shipping.

I'm wondering about something here. I noticed the product part number is JIGUSA501, my thinking is this would indicate a USA version. I know this product in made in Canada and that is where I get mine, right from Montreal. Do these JIGUSA501 cans originate from Canada or are they made here in the states? Now, do you think there is a difference between the two?

dang gravity you just had to through that in on them and get them to scratching their head and wonder if what they bought is the good stuff. Talking about raining on somebody's parade.....................
lol

I have some original blue thunder if anyone wants to buy it for 9.99 free shipping.

I have to ask the question, how much reduction in time is the Jig worth? I see people on here going to great lengths to procure the stuff but I haven't seen a post yet that said how much quicker it was. I'd hate to think people were spending $20 a can for .002 but I know some of you would!

of coarse i would considering that a can of jiga if used proper will last you a life time if it don't go bad of coarse i didn't have to pay that much for mine but i did give $100 for a bottle of legend

Same stuff, they just do not give the range of silicone for US- if formula is changed, it is also changed in Canada- so no difference

I think it is a result of having Pinewood Derby cars on the brain 24hrs a day. I know I’ve become quite obsessed over a wooden car, I’m just glad I’m not alone. I knew it was getting bad when I laid down in bed with my wife and I was thinking about how to make my car faster.

My favorite quote is by sondo:

“In the Quest for Speed, we are all brothers looking for that elusive tenth of a second! Let the journey begin”

I'll just point out that after you get your jig going, don't forget the jig magic trick (White Mountain discovery).

In the DD4H video he dropped the time of a car running jig from 2.984 down to 2.972
a drop of more than 0.01, so if you can find something better than jig, remember to keep looking for an additional 0.01 better than your time with jig. THEN go add the Quicktime trick ( a golden oldie)
dance
and pick up a whole lot more. Now the good news, because the two improvements are additive, you can discover them one by one in any order and see improvements. Full disclosure- I have NOT cracked either of these yet. I just have a good feel for how process steps can fit together. I get my
Ouija board out and channel Murph.

Good info Txchemist. It is interesting to see under section 02 composition that the us version has no silicone listed and the canada version list 1-5% silicone?

You beat me to the punch. Circled the difference.

The odd thing to me is that it still say silicone based. I only have a minor in chemistry but I dont see anything else in the US version that would make it silicone based.

Well, THAT would explain all the excitement! There's an old school ACE store near me. You know, the kind where the owner greets you at the door and helps you find what you need. If anyone around here can score it, it would be him.

Now I need to find out what or who White Mountain is, and what the Quicktime trick is! Thanks tx!
