sweet ride chiefy,
i'm working on one but that build is hard!!!!
I don't think you can truly appreciate that class until you attempt it.

headbang

ThanX for the compliments...And if you ever try to build one don't forget to put the steering wheel in it so you can keep it going straight down the track

Nice, I like the flat black. Sylvester Stallone would be proud! Hopefully it will have a NOS button knowing your cars.
lol

That is sweet. I had two 50 Merc's, one was a parts car and the other I chopped the top 4 1/2". I also had a 51 Merc conv. During my college days I needed the money, so the cars had to go. Wish a many a day I still had them.

Looking good. I almost bought the same one for a doc hudson build and I may still. For the time being I am working on a ford for the august race entry.

Looking forward to seeing you on the track.

Nice car Chief!!!

Just for my own info....I read thru the rules and as long as its a 1/25th scale AMT or Revell model its good to go....in otherwords it can be a model of a relatively new car....(new Camaro or Charger for eg) not just classic cars....?

That is one really sweet ride!! Kind of reminds me of that ZZtops car, but black.
cool

Wait! Here is a question for you all. How do you properly package those cars to ship? I was wondering this a few months ago and forgot to ask. Anybody got a pic of theirs packaged?

You should build one and send it in. I think everyones packing is different...some put the bottom of the car in a legend box for safe shipping and then send the shell. But it also depends on how you mount the car, you cannot Xpect the guys to try to figure out how to put the shell on the car if it is over complicated, there just isn't enough time...I packed my GTX kinda goofy(the car would not fit in a legend box)...I made a foam piece just wide enough for the car to sit on and then made another foam (blue board) piece to fit over the center of the car and I made it a bit taller than the box so when you closed the lid it held down the center foam piece over the car and then I put bubble wrap on both sides of the car just for added insurance and I checked my bags on my plane trip to Nationals and my cars were in my checked bag and they were all OK...Quadad had a fit though haha!!! Good luck and get your ZZ car on the track my friend!!!

You are correct. 5Kids ran a 2012 Vette. The only other real limitation is that the car cannot be longer than 8.25".

Street Rod Rules said:
Length : Limited to model length. No extension.

You can only use 1/25th scale models that are no longer than 8.25″

FYI: The 1969/1970 Dodge Charger (ie: The General Lee) is too long. The car your model is based on needs to be 206.25" or shorter.

Very nice Chief! Same year, make and model I was thinking of doing. Can't wait to see it race.
