Just got done packing up the race. And after a very long day working the race. The hardest part is boxing the cars back up and trying to find out whos cars are what and what boxs they go in..... Please put your team name and cars name on the bottom of your car. Put the cars name on the box. It will literally save hours of trying to figure it out, whos is whos and what boxs they go in. Most are packing your cars well but a few are still struggling. Get the 4-inch Legend boxs they are the safest and easiest way to safely ship by far. Many guys in the 3-inch boxs there cars were out of tune you need more room for clearance around wheels. Awsome race, great builds. Its a ton of work for Jon and Joel lets help make it easier to get your cars back to you, Great race

Sorry I didn't know to put my name and car me on box and car it was my first proxy race my car was in a legend box but FedEx put it inside a there box was that a bad idea the only reason I used fed ex was cause my wife works there and it was almost nothing to ship any advise would be great I will make sure to label car and box next time

I also helped with the race yesterday and I would like to echo Crewzin. A little extra detail in packing your cars would help out a lot in the repacking. By the end of the day I know my brain was not running on all cylinders and I was very thankful for the racers that took the extra time to make repacking easier. These were the ones that had the 4 inch legend box that's labels matched the bottom of their car.

I love these post!!!! KC, Shane, and Keith got a eye opening experience yesterday. A HUGE thanks needs to also go out to those 3! With out their help yesterday would still be going on.

Thank you for your understanding regarding us newbies who did not follow the best procedures to make things easiest for you. I put my name on my box, but not my car and right after I sent my car I realized that I did not mark my car. I personally apologize about that. I tried to follow up with an email to John, but I had no realization of the magnitude of the cars in the race and the amount of proxies. The email probably made it even more of a hassle because he had yet another thing to be concerned about. Well bottom line is thank you and I apologize. Please know though that your efforts made the race very enjoyable for me and I will be doing it again. Next time I will mark both my box and my car though.
Regards,
Wally

OH wow, I couldnt agree more on putting your name on everything!! I have been there myself a couple of times

. Just an idea, what if there was a check list of some sort that was a part of the registration or that came with the shipping boxes??

Here's what I do, hopefully the guys working will plus 1 if they like. I use standard sticky mailing lables aprrox 1"x3" I make a matching set of three (I print by hand-should use comp since my hand writing is poor) I print: race team, car name, and class. I used to put phone number but I forgot this time around. I put one sticker on the bottom of car, one on top 4" legend box and one on the inside flap of my shipping box. When I sent to Mid-America I also included a copy of the registration. on top of car boxes I also put a full sheet of paper with car names and classes and any special instructions. I ususaly staple that sheet to my return postage sticker (I forgot to staple this time).

Hopefully this helps some of you.

+1 I thought about it this time but didnt have time to go get the lables so I just used the sharpie and wrote the team name and car name on bottom of boxes and cars. I'll do the labels next month along with one inside the box lid.

Since I've used the same box, when I send different cars, I just put a new label on top the old.
