Needing a quicker way to cut a quantity of bodies and considering using a wood laser at the maker space in my local library. If anyone has used a laser cutter, can you please provide some input on how difficult the software is to learn. This particular laser is a Glowforge and it indicates you can design with any software that saves a PDF. Also, an estimate on how long a body may take to cut out. Any help appreciated.

With my CNC Router, I draw the design in AutoCAD, save as dxf, import into their design software, then save the G-Code.

Considering that the laser uses a pdf, I bet it just reads the lines on the "page". Sounds more like a laser copy cutter, than a CNC laser.

Either way, if you can accurately draw your design, most scanners will scan to pdf.

In AutoCAD, you can print directly to pdf.
