Any machinist out there…

Im needing a cylinder cut out just larger than the diameter of a bsa wheel 4.5 inches long with a hole in the middle so it will slip over a ½” shaft

I have a osculating spindle sander but cant find the right size sleeve so figure I can make one and glue sandpaper onto it

Could someone make it and ship this to me?

Let me know the cost

Out of curiosity, is it for making fenders (e.g. sanding/shaping the curve that is directly adjacent to the wheel)?

yes thats what i plan to try, it can be done other ways i just have this tool sitting here and i think it would be the cats meow if its set up right

i would like it outta alum

I'm far from a machinist, and I wouldn't mind something like that myself; I do not listen and seem to want to build my own fenders. Someday I might wise up and just buy GEE fenders, but for now, here is the tool that I use, an old wheel with sandpaper glued to the outside. I cut the rough fender shape using a scroll saw and then use this tool for the final shaping of the curve. The the thickness of the sandpaper itself gives me the clearence I need between the wheel and fender. I'm using a nail as the arbor, which the wheel is glued to. Its ghetto, but it works...

SAME CONCEPT, JUST TRYING TO MAKE THIS TOOL SITTING HERE USEFUL

I have a 30mm forstner bit and it fits snug on uncut wheels out of the box. I made my first set of fenders yesterday on a practice body with some scrap trim wood. (I'm still trying to raise my building skills and slowly get some more tools before I send a car in)
