Alright I need your guys help. I host a lot of local pack races and I am getting tired of screwing in and out the lift legs on my track. I was thinking of trying to come up with a type of magnetic dowel pin setup to just stick the legs on and flip the track over. Those of you that have a best track set up are familiar with how it goes together. If you don't have the lift kit the legs have a threaded insert that you install and then you install bolts into the track to screw them into. So what I am trying to come up with is a metal dowel that I can install on the track and a insert for the leg that has a magnet in the bottom to hold the leg in place. Who can help , and what other info do you need?

Have you ever looked at the end of a swimming pool pole. It has two holes in the side of the aluminum tube with a plastic spring pin that sticks out the holes in the tubing. You push these pins in to slide the attachments on the end of the pool pole.

Also older vacuum cleaner hoses use this method with a single pin to hold attachments on.

It would be easy to adapt this to aluminum tubes.
