Okay, so I just quickly reviewed the rules, and I don't see a rule that says you can't run a piece of clear tape over the wheel cavity on say the NDFW or any other wheel. As long as they can inspect the wheel cavity for markings, I'm good to go.

At least that was what I interpreted.... Any thoughts?

Is this a good idea? I'm planning to try running the rears reversed, should I also run tape on the cavities there too? Since I've got the rears canted, the edge of the wheel with the tape won't touch the track, but it will add a minor amount of mass to the wheel. Not sure how I feel about this idea.

My boys keep asking me what else we can adjust to make the car faster, so this is me spitballing a idea I'm pretty sure I've read before....

The only thing I see in the rules is "Officials will remove wheel(s) if lettering is not completely visible."

So...as long as the tape provides a clear view to the inside lettering...?

Oh yeah, and I forgot about that novel 3 wheels on one side setup that won last year, is that still legal? I'm guessing by what I read, it is....

That design is so ugly though. I just don't know if I can do it. Three wheels on one side and a guide pin on the other. Hey, I don't like form over function, but there are limits. That's one of them I just can't get past.
