Them First Off These Things Are Lathed To The Max Wow, I Ordered 3 Sets And I Just Weighed Them All The Weights Varied From 1G To 1.4G, (I WasThinking They Would Be Lighter But After Rechecking Ddfh Web Page It Reads "As Light A .9 To 1G) My Main Question Is, Is The Varied Weight Normal Within One Set Will It Matter If Wheels Dont Weigh The Same Or Should I Mix Match The Sets To Get The Closest Set?

TO CLARIFY IM NOT KNOCKING THE PRODUCT IM ONLY ASKING FOR ADVICE ON HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF THESE

I would imagine that you'd want matched weight on the rears, at least.

I would want to match the weight of the 2 rear like VK suggested. That will likely give a better chance of matching the bore sizes as well. I am thinking that may be one of the factors in the weight variance. I am not sure if I would want to prioritize higher, matching bore sizes or weight. One would actually have to own pin gauges to measure the bores though. That is one of the things on my PWD wish list.

Not to hijack your thread but I have one quick question about the MA wheel after looking on the DD4H site. What is the difference between the Nitro MA wheels and the regular Nitro wheels? Is the difference that the MA version has the inner hub cut down?

The car that ran at MD 2014 that won the qualified scout race it had MD wheels, they weighted .9 - 1.0 on my cheap diamond scale. Ran on Steve's .93 axles and everything else was Johns. Graphite and his polish. We followed Johns processes to a "T", he ran 2.93 - 2.94 for the most part. it also had Gee fenders. You can watch it run on the video at the MD website. It's blue and orange with a white stripe in the middle with white fenders.

I'm confused. What is a Mid America wheel? When I went to their site, I thought 2 gram was the limit.
But I see all kinds of MA wheels for sale that are very light.
So:
What is minimum weight? For what class?

MA doesnt have a wheel weight limit. They just require all the lettering and fluting to remain. Treads need to be a minimum width as well to prevent cutting them down to thin razors.

ma rules on wheels in a crunch (min 7.5mm with tread flat, must have all lettering and ribs on inside and out of wheel intact)

The qualified scout division the one that is just the local Mid Am council scouts?

It's during the MA event, it's a race for only boys from the MA Council. We take the top 3 from each den at district races for this race. Hence the "qualified scout division".
