Its time once again for the Pinewood Derby Valhalla to open its hallowed halls to a new member. Many try but only one can be crowned the MOTM. Two of the all time greats, DD4H and Kinser Racing, have procured their place in history. They are both Tribology Masters and joining them would truly be reaching the pinnacle of pinewood derby success. Lets take a look at what is in store for this years race:

Street Stock

Quicktime has unlocked a prep that would make Ace Montana jealous. He has the formula for success but he has Mr. Research close on his tail. Pony Express has a recipe book for preps that would make a chemist blush. Does Pony Express have the recipe for success or will JBD and WK Creations shock the NPWDRL with a MOTM win.

Street Stock AM

Less face it.....these guys ain't no amateurs. Bracketracer has broken out but the entire pack is hot on his tail. This is the most talented group of new comers that have ever graced the track. Could one of these guys be the next Legend Killer?

Street Pro

Once again Quicktime is the lead horse in the race. JBD is on a mission but GS1 can prep with the best. Its going to fast and its going to exciting. I can't call it!

Eliminator

In a division where precision is the key, the Utah Killer has broken out from the pack. His research and out the box thinking has paid off. But will it pay off long enough for the win?

Unlimited

What can be said about a division that is settled by 1/10,000 of a second. There is no room for error and the top 7 can take it on any given Saturday. Whomever has the best mojo will take the prize. Not even vegas will bet this race!

Street Rod

Possibly the most exciting to watch. WK Creations has spent the time in garage to rise to the top. R & D is the key....who will win when the hammer drops. I suspect a shake up when the dust clears!

Guys the date is set! This is the best of best and legends are made in December.

Prep well my friends.....prep well.

PS. Sorry I've been on the down low. You guys are my pinewood derby brothers and I'm always watching whether you've been naughty or nice...LOL! As usual talk a little smack if your feeling MOTMish!

Street Pro.... Don't count me out! I wonder if I have enough tricks left in the bag to rein in the top spot for this class. 2 weeks will tell. Look out, I'm coming for a MOTM title boys! I may leave with my tail tucked, but I will have given everything I got to win.

Good Luck to all the racers in all the classes! Bring your best, 'cuz the best will be there! This will indeed be a spectacular event, let's take the last race of the year out with a BANG!

Best of luck to everyone. I think there could be some surprises. I suspect possibly some sandbagging in previous qualifiers.......... Did QT hold a little something back? Or did he show his hand too early and motivate the others to work even harder. Not getting the sweep in the last qualifier did not seem to bother him so I suspect he may have some more speed he has been holding back. But maybe some others were holding back and giving QT some false confidence and hoping he would not work as hard and they could blindside him. I have no doubt there will be some great racing.

I am an early bird this month. Cars are going out tomorrow. They are packed, label on the box, and entry fees paid. I dragged my feet as long as I could but this past weekend I could not stop myself and had to get them race ready.

So where is St. George really at? It sounded like the big city and is on a major freeway but when I did my shipping it was 3 day priority mail, not 2 day. Are they on island time at the post office and it takes a little extra time to get the mail out?

Wish I was going to be there live and had thought about going. But the rescheduled date I am on call so I have to stay close to home and work.

Again best of luck to everyone racing, live or proxy!!!!!!

St. George is about 120 miles from Las Vegas . Problem is that all the mail goes all the way up to Provo than back down to us.

The QuickTime polishes and prep supplies have been going crazy. Hopefully it will amount to something on the track! This weekend I'll have a better idea. Hopefully I will be able to keep ahead of the fast charging pack.
