This is our Mid Year Finale before the Summer Break. We will find ourselves racing at the Mother Ship.......The Rocky Mountain Speedway! As seen last month the Speedway has been upgraded to 4 Lanes and it is tuned and ready for action. Lets take a walk down memory lane to set the mood!

-After an emotional end to our 2011 season a new League was formed the "NPWDRL". I can only say........Thank You DD4H for taking the leap and making this an awesome league to learn, race and form friendships! It takes all of us to build it and seeing a need to grow the CCRL and DNA Speedways joined the fun. The addition of multiple speedways has allowed racers from every region a chance to attend races live and share in the race day fun.

Kinser "Screaming Eagle" Racing started the 2011 season not even Sub 3.0 but ended it with shock and awe and emerged the MOTM. He has proven to be a dominant force this season. Will his reign continue?

Speaking of emerging forces "White Mountain" has returned from his walkabout and is primed for an invasion. He has proven he is a Tribology Master by harnessing the power of the Orange Can. Some doubted its magic until the Spring Fever Sonic Bomb was unleashed. Will the NPWDRL be able to handle a White Mountain Land Slide?

Then there is the one racers who has done it all and reached Zen Like State. He races for fun but loves a good challenge. The next level is what drives him and I believe he is ready to mix it up. I'm refering to our very own DD4H. Can another Nationals Title be added to the list?

But wait is there another Legend who has emerged from retirement to set his sites on the NPWDRL leage. Mr. A-Line Performance is the God Father of speed and obvouisly has fuel left in the tank. What will this master of speed unlesh at the Nationals?

The season started out with a bang! Part of that bang was a little guy we like to call Freaky. He came out with both guns blazing and took no prisoners. He has been missed but he electrified the forum with word of a possible return at Nationals. Lets hope a little trash will be spread before race day.

Then there is word of a new process! A night stand miracle of sorts. Only one man has been able to crack the code for this new power. A man with the DNA for racing but an animal instinct on the track, none other than "Squatch". All eyes will be anticipating the drop of the start gate in anticipation of a display of Tribology Mastery.

But in true NPWDRL fashion we have evolved once again. A first for the sport and something that will add to the exitment. The Steet Stock Class has been divided into group (Elite, Pro, Amatuer). And with the changes some new rules have been upgraded. New wheels and extended wheel bases are now allowed for Street Stock. This will allow a new influx of builders to join the fun. Hold onto your hats guys and gals this class is going to be fast.

There have been many veterans and new comers showing why we have the most talented group of racers the country can assemble.

Fired Up - Rising to the top of the unlimited and limited ranks.

Spirit - On the verge of some serious speed

Stone Cold - Ice cold and fast....fast....fast!

OPA - He is the "Pepe Le Pew" of the NPWDRL. When you look back he is always on your tail. But I have a feeling he is going to put the majority of the racers in his tail lights.

Then there are all the new comers veterans that have shown incredible speeds right out of the gate this season. If you put your car on a NPWDRL track you are racing with the best.The racers are ready, the cars are fast and talent is off the charts. The build up is over and the time has come to show everyone what you got!

Reso, your are the Viince Lombardi of Pinewood Racing my friend. You really know how to pump the race league up. After reading your post I am going back to squeeze a few more thousands of speed out of my already finished Nationals cars. I going down in the basement now and getting back to work and looking for that perfect run. See ya on the track......SPIRIT..........

This is the pinnacle of a lot of hard work. The best thing is there are bigger peaks beyond this one! I have calls everyday from people that want to come see the race. There are lots of builders here that are wondering how they stack up but still sit on the sideline. All I can think about is the great quote from Roosevelt..

"It is not the critic who counts: not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles or where the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly, who errs and comes up short again and again, because there is no effort without error or shortcoming, but who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions, who spends himself for a worthy cause; who, at the best, knows, in the end, the triumph of high achievement, and who, at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat."

I am not going to ever be one of the cold and timid souls! Quit watching and wondering and join in the action!

Last weekend, as I was helping my two sons prepare their cars for the upcoming council race, it dawned on me that with the new street stock rule change--allowing extended wheelbases, that they can now race their cub scout cars at NPWDRL Nationals. And my daughters can race their girl scout cars too. So, we love the new rule change! Asked the kids and they all want to race at Nationals. We don't expect to do well against the best in the country, but the kids are pumped anyway. What a climax to a long scout season!

GO FOR IT TONY, I AM DOING THE SAME WITH TWO GRANDSON'S CARS THAT WON THEIR COUNCILS.

I'm so excited...& I just cant hide it.We just got a package from John,like Christmas all over.Its going to be a tough race this year with all the new talent out there.The best of the best!I saw team Dynasty today at Food lion,they were on a Wheaties box
