Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. Once the Daddio and crew make it to the venue, he will check out the track setup and determine if there needs to be a +/- added to your average times for speed badges.

This will be refered to as the "Rainbow Rule"

blah

Just curious about this statement Reso, but how is this determined? I believe I know that all tracks can be different but where does the +/- come from, the location of the electronic eyes, or something completely different? When I was at MA and watching the pro races, John seen things with the track that quite simply I never even considered, like a dirty track as an example, I heard it when the cars ran but didn't know why. Quite honestly I thought there was something wrong with the car. Mr Chips said he cleaned wheels as best he could to assure a good run of each car. I'm a newbie when it comes to all of this and I'll ask questions as I learn more and more about this hobby. Thanks in advance.

"THE RAINBOW RULE" Now that's just funny!
lol
Glad I could inspire you all
cool

GravityX,

I would imagine that the +/- will be determined by a street stock car that has run on both the NPWDRL home track and the nationals track. The car would have to be a consistent car that does not have much deviation in time from run to run. John has and is capable of building such a car. He has proven he can do it on multiple track. He is fully versed in all aspects of track setup and fine tuning. He knows how the home track is prepped before each race and those same methods will be used for the nationals race. Also Goatboy and Zeeb have been around racing a long time. Between the three of them I'm confident whatever decision is made will be sufficient to use a judgment for the speed badges.

Thanks Reso for answering this, makes good sense. I agree with you in that whatever decision is made on the +/- will be good with everyone.

Anybody hear what the +/- was for this race? I read a few comments in the chat room where racers thought the track was a little slow? I didn't have anything to compare it to, it was my first race.

Alright boys, I sneaked away from the wedding for 15min and took a guys laptop. From what DEW tells me 1 of my cars ran 2.98. Came in 5th, but I don't care, I love it/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif
