Can the NDFW weight be less than 2 grams on a SS build? I would like to think it wouldn't make a difference but I thought I'd ask first before just doing it and getting DQ'd. My build right now is a touch heavy by just under a gram making the car weigh in at 144 grams barely.

You can try cutting the ndw axle short but leave just enough shaft to mount it then glue it in. Not sure how much weight you'll remove but it will help a little.

Thanks for the ideas 5Kids and D4D. I think I found my issue, I'm not out of spec by very much at all and I have a heavy, untouched BSA wheel sitting in that location. I'll put a 2g wheel in that spot and see what happens. I still want to get to the light side of 142g to be on the safe side.

Hmm, I hadn't thought of doing that. If I bought three sets of Cheetahs I could build four cars from them if I substituted a stock wheel for the NDFW on each......easy way to "save" $30!
