For future reference it's easy to print your own decals. I've been doing it for a while now with water decals. I have some one make the graphics. When they are done they email it to me. Then I take it to Kinko's to have it printed.
When using water decals here are a few tips.
Water decals come in two version, inkjet and laser. I strongly recommend using LASER water decal paper only. When using inkjet, the ink can sometimes bleed when put in water. Laser produces a better image and the colors won't bleed.
Water decals also come in two background colors, clear and white. Clear works best on cars with a white paint job. They can also be used on light colors as well but they may effect the colors of the decals. For any other paint colors use "WHITE" decal paper.
When you do print them take them to a print shop even if you have a laser printer. If your printer runs too hot it can potentially melt the plastic on the decal paper. If it does melt and it gets on your fuser, your printer is in for some expensive repair. IPrinters at print shop usually can print faster and can usually avoid this problem.
Also, it is best to put it into a PDF before taking it to a print shop. In other formats, the size and sometimes even the color can change. Putting them into a PDF will usually eliminate any changes. Also, make sure you do a test print with cheap paper before printing in your water decal paper. Otherwise you might be wasting expensive water decal paper if there is a mistake. If you are satisfied with the test, then print it on the water decal paper.
When applying them, make sure the paint is thoroughly dry. When applying the decal make sure the body is wet. This will allow the decal to move around easily until you get it into position. One its in position, wipe it with a wet paper towel. This will smooth the decal and remove any water or bubbles underneath.
Once they are on let it dry thoroughly. Usually several hours is enough but usually I like to wait a whole day. If there is any water or air gaps under the decal, it can cause it to wrinkle.
When it dry, spray over it with a clear coat do paint or lacquer. This will seal and protect the decal. Then buff it to a shine.
Below are my kids cars where I used water decals. The white car I used clear water decals. The green one I used white water decals. Had I used clear decals on the green car, they would have been difficult to see and the color would be slightly different,
