I'm a lost cause -- In March, I was already 1/100th behind you in SS and even more in SP. Do you just want a sure fire Free Meal? I'll give you that w/o the race. BUT, it will cost you some secrets.
 
When I looked at the results last night, and by my addition between the 2 classes you had a .003 advantage if I gave you a .010. You are the one questioning the breakthrough. If you are so sure its not legit lets make it interesting, you give me some terms.

Not sure how to make up the time difference...my cars was running 2.956-2962.. an to make up 20 hundreds is almost impossible. Really puzzled right now. 2.944 without fenders.. I'm really impressed. And discourage as well. Can someone at least say whether it the( oil process, wheel bore , axle prep.) I live and breathe derby and experiment all the time...please advise if u choose. At what direction!
 
JBD, I will put it bluntly. Most people get help but then never repay when they make a discovery. Also the information always seems to get out and come back in the form of a new vendor copying and pasting their website from yours or a new league with the latest and greatest pinewood derby racers alive. It creates guys like Mr Third Person and Pollution. You can't even trust your own blood not to spill it to the world! Pinewood derby causes people to do weird things and act in a very weird manner.

It reaffirms my belief that there are no real shortcuts to success, and that's a lesson I can pass on to my son.

I can't repay the helpful comments I've received here other than to drive others seeking info to this forum and to the DD4H store.

QT, I would never, never accuse you of doing anything that was not legit. I sincerely mean that.
What I was questioning was weather the posted video was just a fun fun goading towards "who knows who". If I were in the top 5 SS, and if the video and car were not "doctored", I would have been one of those who would have been concerned. But I am no longer in the top 5. Maybe by EOY. So the next time I am in Utah, dinner is on me.

John I understand where you are coming from......and couldn't agree with u more. Im happy there Is something faster... it will make people work harder.... but I can promise u there not many that work at this like I do... guess it pays to to know the right people .....lol Congrats on new speed..
 
You do know the right people or you would be nowhere near where you are right now! What goes along with working hard is working for some amount of time. You are still brand new. The guys that have been battling with this for the last 3 to 5 years never got anything like you have been provided. It also helps to earn trust with people before expecting anything special from them. Still a few guys playing all sides if you know what I mean.

For example if Harold calls Bobby for help and Bobby spends a bit of time telling Harold what to do and then Harold calls Willy and asks him the same question and Willy spills all his info. Harold then calls Bilbo who is not in a good way with Bobby or Willy and asks him the same question and lets Bilbo know how Bobby and Willy do things. Bobby and Willy talk to each and learn that they both talked to Harold and told him all they could to help him and they heard that Harold went and told Bilbo things they would have rather not been let out to Bilbo. Bobby and Willy will no longer tell Harold anything.

Not sure if that makes sense or not but that is a major issue with the PWD community. You don't know who talks to who and I for one am not going to let my hard work go to my competition to have for free. I am not singling anyone out with this post but just throwing my thoughts out there.

You don't want to be Harold or even Bilbo for that matter... and Bobby and Willy who were once nice to each other may not be so nice one day.... The moral of the story is to race, have fun, make friends and be helpful to the new guys. With hard work everybody's day will come and paying the price for not working hard and going around the system sucks and divides everybody.
