If you happen to use the pinecar wheel, they wouldn't fit, the WJ is too large. But if you are using just about any other wheel they should work at the NDFW, but most racers will reverse mount this wheel. Rendering use of the WJ null, at this location

Is there a reason they can't be used with the NDFW?

Your stuff looks thinner than mine. How thick is it material. I think I added to much weight to the front and gave up some speed.
Next year we will just have to move the wheel to the back.

Bulldog, I think you are asking for the height of the standoffs? They were designed to fit bodies as thin as a 1/4".

Safer Racer, yours look great! The disc portion on mine are less than 1/16" thick.

Mr B, thanks for your support.

Bulldog, my mistake for misunderstanding your question. They stand off a tick over 1/8".

Gravity X, I have you covered.

Is everyone selling these now? Derby Evolution just made a FB post showing their version, I guess everyone wants in on the act...

Tonight I will be listing the SWAG (Sweet Wheel Air Guides). These have been talked about among several racers and I have been asked to produce them in both acrylic and Basswood. Some people will need them to be clear so the acrylic will work best and some people will want to paint them to match their body so Basswood will work best. Pricing will be $12.95 for a set of 4.

I think there are probable a few different designs by different people out there.

Just to be clear, how many of these come with each $8 order? Just one cover or a set of multiple? (2-3-4?)

I made my own out of carbon fiber sheet. Kind of messy, and relatively expensive, but looked bad ass.

Making these out of wood is super easy. I, personally, wouldn't pay for that.

However, making transparent shields is an entirely different matter. I tried making them out of cd cases and it was a dismal failure. So I'd pay money for clear shields.

The Wind Jammers are $8 each. So a set of 3 is $24.

These are a one piece design and fully CNC machined. The standoffs are not glued on.

There will be no issues of breaking or coming apart if you want to remove them and use them latter on another car.

Picture added to the original post showing the Wind Jammer mounted with the wheel and axle installed to the body.

I was recently informed by the manufacturer that a higher priority job had to be placed in front of the batch of Wind Jammers.

The manufacturer is planning to have the batch completed early in June.

I apologize for the delay.

It's been a while since I've posted or raced yet when I seen this I can't grasp why people pay money for this when the exact same effect can be achieved for FREE. Years ago, I started taking the clear packing tape and punch a hole with some hole punchers. Then stick my wheel hub through the hole and letting the sticky side adhere to the outer edge of the wheel. Next, trim with a new sharp razor and viola, a perfectly sealed wheel that could be seen through. I did it for several race seasons and never had an issue with one coming off. I did it on pure stock and stock wheels (1 g). I haven't seen any of the new lighter ones now a days so might not be enough meat to work on those now. I saw an instant 0.005 or better when installed. Used it on both front and back wheels with no problems. Maybe it looks cool and maybe it works even better, I have no idea. If it works and people are happy with the products then all is well. Peace out.
