New track ordered

Well I took a leap and ordered a 2 lane 42ft best track with split starting gate and a MW k3. I debated a 3 or 4 lane but had to be honest with myself this is only for testing. We decided we’re heading to NYC for the Championship race and I need to compare last years car that we took toNYC and this years builds and we might have to build 2 new cars for this race. Lol. It’s been a lot of fun just hope to be competitive this year.

A track will definitely help you with tuning and comparing between cars and see what works and what not. I also debated getting one but we already have a wooden test track and could not justify the cost of a aluminum track. Also all that testing is giving me a head ache right now as we are trying to find more speed. For some reason we are unable to build a new car that is faster than my son's car from the pack race (long wheel base, rail rider, 3 wheel, canted rear holes, ten cubes behind and 13 in front of the rear axle). We tried short wheel base long wheel base all with 12 cubes before and after the axle, which should be a faster setup. We drilled the axle holes the same way and are using the same axles/wheels (all from DD4H) on all the test cars, but so far nothing we have build is faster. So instead of a building a new car with a better weight setup for the districts we are thinking of just slapping some axles/wheels running oil on the car and call it a day, even though my gut tells me that weight setup is not the most ideal we can have.

If we make the top 3 in our den in districts we might see you at the NYC race. Good luck with the track and your new builds.

I have a 3 lane track and I think it's perfect. It allows you to have a center lane to test the car in traffic.
