These are the rules for the districts. They look pretty loose to me. What do you think?

That's a good rule set. Looks like you're ready for 2.4 gr Dynasty Rage wheels and BSA Official speed axles. I would highly recommend to get the DD4H Axle polish kit and wheel polish kit and the DD4H graphite. Raise one front wheel, either read up on how to bend an axle or order one pre bent so you can see how to do it. Then read up on tuning car to 4" steer over 4'. If you make new bodies you could drill the rears to cant.

Was it 2.3xx or 3.3xx? It could be a combination of several things, staging, graphite wore out, dirty wheels, a loose axle or some others. Were you rail running? Were you using the axle slots or did you drill. Were you using graphite? Were your axles grooved? Sorry for the barrage of questions but they'll help us try to determine what it could be. I hope this can help. /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

I like it when Kinser runs down a list like this. It always reminds me of those doctor shows when they wheel someone into the ER and the doctor is looking for the vitals on the patient.

The 1.17 BASX with the outer hub step removed would be your next best choice. If you order the Rage be sure to Spec 2.4 gr.

steer with the bent axle. raise one by drilling slightly higher or cut the slot a little deeper on one side.

If you have enough bend in your axle you shouldn't need to drill the lifted wheel higher.

We'll, my daughter-in-law wants the boy to race the car he used in the pack races. So canting the rears is out, crap. Looks like a three wheeler with steerable front. How much should the front axle be bent?

The best way to get mom on board is build her a car. Once they get a sniff of the ride....

She feels like that is the car you built and you should use it for all of the races this season. If it doesn't run so well, build a better one next season. I'll sneak what I can onto the car.

No worries, she has a good thought process. Patience. Build her one next year. Let her paint it, do sticker, ribbons, whatever. You can always practice in the meantime here.
