Isn't it funny how much attention is pored over an individual piece of wood?

How could this tree ever know that it would be destined for PWD racing?

It could have easily been scrap!

One of these two designs I will pursue, and the other will be set aside.

So close yet so far.

I am up in the air at the moment. They weigh exactly the same but are built very differently.

Input is appreciated.

Thanks,

You want the honest truth right? I think your weighting system in very ingenious and may have merit, only testing will tell, but i like it. Your fenders are going to cause you problems, they're far to large. You want to move as little air as possible. /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

Hey Kinser,

No matter how bad it is, I want the truth.

Yeah. I am slowly, begrudgingly, coming to the same conclusion.

I was hoping that the additional structure to the frame would compensate for the additional volume. Now that I have built a plank car I am starting to change my opinion.

There might be something there, but I feel that it would take a radical design.
Like the entire structure of the car being located beneath the top of the guide rail. (behind the front wheels).

I just don't know what to do with all of these "sketch models".

Thanks,
Joe

Hey Kinser,

This is kinda where I started on this journey.

Did I make a complete circle?

Thanks,

I like it when the car starts looking like something designed specifically for the olympics.

Hey John,

Is the PWD olympics this year or next?

Thanks

WK,

If I am hit by a bus or some other accident should occur to keep me from completing this car;

Please finish this car for me and see it race.

I don't care if it is the slowest car there.

Hmmm what a concept. A manual slow-mo view of the car.

I wonder how to get it to stop right in front of the finish line?

Hey John,

When are we gunna see a pregame with our cars trotted out like thoroughbreds on race day?

Perhaps a lazy susan at the end of the runway for a nice turn?

Blue Steel awaits!
