SOLD OUT!
Thanks for playing! /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

When we cleaned out the store room in our scout shack, we found 9 new (old stock) kits. I'm selling them for our troop, and thought that HERE would be the place to start. Especially after Laserman's post on MOI.

The kit pictured is the only one that has been opened. I have 9 6 3 0 kits left.

I'm thinking $7 each (+ shipping). But I am open to offers and/or suggestions.

Remember: these kits belong to the troop, not to me. /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

Just FYI, those (if they all look like that) are pre-88 wheels. Different than the pre-99 wheels in the MOI post.

True. The kit has a copyright date of 1985 on the instruction sheet. The wheels do not have the "Pinewood Derby BSA" lettering on their sidewalls.

But the rules only require "No removing of letters or spokes." Since the letters never existed, the wheels do meet the rules.

I'm not certain, but I one of the kits could be pre-1985. It is sealed, so I don't know for sure. All my ebay searches would indicate otherwise, however. Will update this with better info when I have it.

All the kits are of the 1985 copyright vintage.

Wheels weigh 3g each +/- 0.1g. My scale doesn't do tenths of grams, according to it, 1 wheel = 3g, 4 wheels = 12g.

Jelp me out here. The way to tell eras apart here. think my wheels have bsa printed on outside.

guess I have some with and some without lettering. Also have three unopened boxes with 1996 copywright.

I would guess that your kits are >'88. If you take a look at an instruction sheet inside, there should be a copyright date on it.

You may want to start a separate thread and tell how many kits you have, show a pic of the wheels, and let the guys know how much you want for the kits.

John,
Have a look here and see if you find a match for yours:

Thanks Bracket. Neat thread. Most of boxes were thrown out but some looked like the 88 boxes some like the 95 to 99.
