Just registered three cars, 1 ea as follows:
BASX - Padawan
SS - Maverick
Unlimited - Back in Black
With all the USPS shipping problems I am sending my cars via FedEx overnight, expensive yes but at least they'll get to race. Besides, I could not find time earlier with a very busy schedule at work and family.
BASX and SS are new builds, in fact the SS is not even track tested/tuned!
Thanks to Bracketracer for helping me test tune my BASX car and making a spare front wheel for my Unlimited car as it jumped at his stop section (aka Flippin' Jimmy style) and broke it's DFW!! The new wheel runs smooth on the axle but the car was not run down the track to avoid any last minute accidents and send "as is", thus keeping fingers crossed for the race!
Building a SS car with X3 style LB fenders has been a long standing dream of mine since the last MA-Nationals but some how could never find the time to get it done. So this time I went for it. It's a hybrid build with 3D printed Valkerie fenders (forward and reverse, Laserman Joe) with balsa side panels blending the trailing and rear fenders for protection from the dirty air coming from the sides. That's why I called it Maverick! Let's see how it does! Now I appreciate all the hard work, patience and skills some of you pro builders have that have incorporated this build style. Kudos to LightninBoy (Tom) for showing us the way. LB - Too bad your cars could not make it to the MOTM 2015, but I bet most of the finalists will be running your style fenders! I am sure you'll be back with a bang next year maybe with the next gen X4.....X "to the power n" style!!
Good luck to all racers, join you'll in the Chat room on Sat.
BTW I have sent John four of my Wheel cover trays to be given away as door prizes to four lucky winners chosen randomly from all participants (live or proxy) during the live event. So good luck to all participants.
