Oil Method Question

We spray axles with 3M Dry-Type Silicone from NAPA.
We are not league racers and have only built 5 cars but this is fast.

Hola amigos! I'm in Minneapolis and found MaxPro locally. If you have a Micro Center nearby they carry it. $6.99/can.

Really? Microcenter? Dang, I could have gotten it cheaper! I ended up buying it from Walmart and paying for shipping to my house.

Oh well, at least I have some now. I haven't race-tested it yet, but I like the coating it puts down a LOT better than the Chain-Saver. Also, it's a lot less noxious.

I have a can of Jig from 2007 that doesn't spray well so I wonder how long it will last. It sprays better when you hold it upside down. Why is there such a problem with getting that in the US?

From what I heard, there are toxic chemicals in Jig and is not available in the US anymore. That's why it's hard to find and costs more.

I wonder if you're only getting propelent, however, when spraying upside down

You can get jig directly from the company if you want to buy it by the case. I contacted them and got a response quickly. Right around $90 shipping and customs

So let's get 12 people to put in and split the case, will be a great deal for everyone that puts in.

You might want to PM Rocket Car. He has been burying cans of the stuff in his backyard for sometime now. I think he may part with one of them...

That's worth it! I paid $45 for my old can on ebay!

Recently, I bought a case of 12 on ebay from these folks...

http://www.ebay.com/usr/lemondedufoyer?_trksid=p2047675.l2559

Final total was about $7.50 a can.

I just ordered a case of this stuff. Shipping included it came out to $92. The exchange rate is in our favor. If there is anyone in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, I would be happy to exchange a can or three for some lessons in using oil. I am new to the oil process and would be happy to cut down my learning curve.
