Revamping my car after a humiliating weekend. .. (not that bad) but setting up as a non-rail runner. Canted rears and one raised front. 1g Superstockers.....what do I do with the front wheels in this scenerio?

My older sons car in the sibling race managed a track fastest ever of 2.9985.....too bad we raced the wrong car!

Had it set up railriding this weekend and the results weren't good.....not sure if it was the track or not but ran faster last year on the same track with straight alignment. Racing on same track Saturday. I can't get access to a track to tune it.....it seemed to be perfect last weekend but barely got us to district. I know with straight we can take the fastest car in district...

Standard wheelbase. Gap gaged at 3/16 I think....flat rear/no cant. Gee fenders....nothing dragging. 140g....23g on front DFW. 2 oz behind rear axle....rest in front of rear axle. 2.4g BsA stocks

Thanks....never gave that thought! Simple but something I never have done! I've got new 93s Groved graphite axles on the way and a set of 1g wheels

If you are referring to the gap between the body and the wheel, this is too wide. 1/32 or .030" or the thickness for a credit card is what a lot of guys would call wide.

Your car will wiggle if the rears aren't canted. Just do all the other things the guys mentioned. Plus burnish the body were the wheel rubs REALLY WELL.

If I read this correctly you said you setup for rail riding? Did you mean rail running or did you bend your rear axles? If that's the case, that's probably your problem. We ran against so many rail riders this past weekend and it was obvious. Rail Running is the way to go.
