Well here is our second car built for Mid AM weekend... This is my oldest son's car... BullDog Xpress

We bought Dupli Color to paint this car Metallic Black... I am in love with this paint it is lightweight and easy to use... I found it has to have a good primer base... No more Rust oleum painting for us..

As you seen from last week my youngest sons car ... Yjos car was painted with Rustoleum paint.. It is ready to run... We will see how she does with just a tuning board run....

Very Nice cars pops!!!! You sure they are only 7 inches long???

LOL - Hey Chief you can't handle more the 7'' ??

Got to say these are both Pine Car bodies... Running stock wheels slightly lighter than stock weight... Running bare stock BSA axles

..... One car is a tad bit under 18.2 grams in the posted pics, the other is 19.6 grams so they will be close... I tried a couple of different things with both of them and well the Prep ... Graphite.. Playing it by the rules for the boys as we have not tried the oil yet...

.... BullDog Xpress car is 3/16" under 7" ... things happen I guess and well ummm... Just hope that both run well and that the boys have fun... I want to watch both of them run so I can get some idea as we are running these Virgin Cars with tuning board prep only...

Thanks Guys for the nice comments as the boys enjoy seeing their cars online and I can just imagine when it runs down the track how they will feel...

Good luck Papa V to you and your boys. We also send in 2 cars for the MA race. Shall post pictures soon. Enjoy watching the races online with your boys this Sat - these memories and time spent building them with your boys is immortal. They'll remember it for a lifetime and thank you for teaching them the tricks of the trade when it's their turn to help their boys!

I really like the black car, very slick looking. The more cars I make, I guess the less I care how they look. Your cars motivate me to spend a little more time on the painting. Good Job!

Again Thank You- I can only take credit for logging into NPWDRL one day and joining- I have learned everything I know from here...

MOFAST- I am glad you are getting inspired...

One day we will race together as Dads @ NPWDRL This weekend it is our boys racing together and I can only imagine how it is Live.. I'm excited to meet you all and see the Pro cars race LIVE!! Of course I am excited to see the boys cars race... But I see most races online and now Live... Woot Woot...

I have to say the Black car does have a few things added to it that is not a normal racers set up... It was by accident but I claim it to be on purpose... LOL ... I still have a long road ahead of me as my oldest ask if he buys the axles and wheel can we send them into to race in Utah... I told him HECK YEAH .. If John will let it run on graphite once we get home we will send it in.. Then see if we can order the stuff and ship it back all in one box... LOL .. He is HOOKED!!!

I really need to focus on the build and finishing of cars... One day I will have a sander, drill press & bandsaw... I use all hand tools .. SUCKIE!! Takes about 3 days to shape a car with the boys... 2 days on my own...

I saw an add in a PWD Magazine my mom sent us... The dad will build a car and his son builds a car at the same time.. The father shows how to do each step on his car and the son performs these steps on his car... What a cool concept ... I walk them through telling them how to all the time and on the No No Tools.. I do the work... So we are now going to try this other method as I like to hold MY WOOD in my hands!!!

You are the reason I am here guys as I like who WE are and Who we try to be... Good Dads, Good Scout Leaders.. Mentors and Mentorees... LOL ..

I still owe allot of my inspiration to RESO,ZEEB, GOATBOY, QT, 5KIDS, DD4H, KINSER, CHIPS, MOFAST, SONDO, DEW, GRAVITYX.. Just to name a few who I have been reading and watching their cars roll down race after race this last year... To all the new Racers that have built some wild and out of the box thinking cars, to those that will join even inspire me as I want to build and produce a great racing and looking car... There are many others that I have seen cars built by and this list goes on and on ... Not to leave anyone off of it.... But space and time is limited... As we have 987 members ....
Thank You ALL........ Papa V
