Hey all hope everyone had a good holiday season..

I have a question in regards to 2 outlaw cars I'm building. The total weight is 10oz. I remember reading a post where a guy did a test and came back that 8oz was where the speed gains started to taper off, and 10oz slowed the car down. But I cant find that thread right now.

On the 1 car I plan on running eliminator razor wheels. These wheels are pretty thin and I dunno if theyd handle 10oz. As for the other car, I still havent decided on what to do.

Any help or suggestions would be really appreciated. I am going to continue going through old threads to see if I come up with something. Thanks

Well our outlaw had a rough go of it. The stopper section was crap..after winning 4 heats the front of my car smashed and the dfw broke in half. So it placed 4th after not being able to race last 2 heats. But a car a built for my ex gf daughter came in 2nd for outlaw, and I only had 7 oz in that plus heavy basx wheels that weren't reprepped, along with qxles that i didnt reprep from previous race.

But my sons car did really well. He won his den and the pack. He was going nuts, so happy. Now off to districts. The pack leader said his car might not be allowed to have a 16th of an inch shaved off dfw but I dont see why that would be an issue, he told me to ask the people who run districts.
