There was when I was a cub scout who placed high enough to go to districts and then get smoked. Well, this all started by helping two boys whose dad is not in their lives and doesn't care to be. They needed a fighting chance, so I researched enough to where we could build two cars together which would have a good at winning. Win they did.. Not a single loss all the way through districts!

I got 3rd, 4th, and 3rd. Always got annihilated at districts. The 2nd year in the pack competition I should have gotten 3rd, and my dad got it on video, but it was all by sight back then and they got it wrong according to the video replay.

These boys were pretty happy to clean up at districts. One car did come within a thousandth of us though.

The oldest boy appears to be trying to decide what path, good or bad, he is going to take in life. However, this gives him something legit to focus on and he loves it. I don't want to see him in and out of jail like his dad.
