Everyone talks about how much the BSA wheels quality control is bad but I never noticed anyone actually try using one of the other types allowed for the SS classes. I wonder if that is mainly lack of trying or from past results. If you can lathe your own wheels and reem/tap the bores maybe the BSA wheel isn't the best raw wheel to start with.

I know that when I get mine in traffic they slow down drastically.(.015-.020) I have only a single lane Best track that I tune on, so come race day I never know how they are going to react. The best way to tune is to tune that if the car does wiggle it doesn't slow down much.

Quicktimederby said:In raw form the Pinecar wheels are JUNK!!!!After a lot of love on the lathe they turned out pretty nice. There are some advantages over the BSA wheel. The wheels I though would be around .020 slower than a good lathed BSA set. Much to my surprise they where just as fast as my BSA wheels. The car slowed slightly because of a nasty little knick it got in the DOM rear wheel. So for me they are equal to the BSA but a lot more work is needed to get them there. I was plaining on only running this race but no I might have to mess with them a little more.![]()
