Pinks Race

So build the car with equal parts, BASX rules. There's no rule that you personally can't have 2 cars.

Of course there's not a rule, but building one car a month is about as fast as I can go and not eat up too much time for the other obligations that I have. And until I break 3 seconds on stock parts, that's where all of my efforts are going to be focused.

Does that make sense?

Ok, I'm bored. Someone else do a pinks race because I'm tired of hearing excuses.

Heads up race special event.

I am not going to put this car into the BASX category against as you call it a stacked field. I will build a BASX by NPWDRL regulations for that race.

Careful Mr. Chips I saw his MA car, not worth winning. LOL

Oh I know there is one here and there that get raced, it would be IMO cool if there was a graphite class, I know there is almost no chance of this and I get that

No way man! Graphite is a mess. It gets all over the track, the cars, the stop section, my hands it's a mess! That said, it's not against the rules. (Argggg!)

Graphite is a pain. However this build has reminded me of trying to break sub 3 back in the day using graphite on heavy wheels. I am using what came in the kit I purchased this weekend to see what happens. I may even do a lead car so I am not accused of any form of misconduct for this race.

As a forewarning that although VK said Wheels can not be done on a Lathe, they will be sanded.

And using stock kit axles will also be done, however they will be modified.

These are his rules and I will abide. There was never any specification those modifications were not allowed.

Sounds good to me. If you end up blowing the doors off of me, I'll be interested in knowing what you employed to do (after the race is done, that is).

Just for the record, I have no objection to tungsten as ballast. Or a laser-cut body. Or whatever else you choose to employ that was not prohibited by the initial rules.

I get my doors blown off each month /images/boards/smilies/biggrin.gif.

I can assuredly tell you, the only way you'll ever find out the answer to your question is by racing. I've been working on your question for myself for quite a while now, and still have some work to do yet...

I plan to send in next month. I let Chips know earlier that I hadn't been able to progress as much as I would have liked, but that I'd send it what I had if he still wanted to race in June. He graciously allowed me to postpone until July, so that's what I'll do.
