Does the car, that ran previously, have to be run in the same class in order to collect points? For example: let's say I am running the SS AM class and run well enough to get bumped to the SS Pro class, do my points carry over from the AM class or do I remain in the SS AM class the rest of the season?

Also, if I am running the SS AM class, does the same exact car need to run each event in order to obtain points for that class? Here's what I am thinking, I would like to run a second car (new) in the same class, but I haven't run it at all this season. What points, if any, does the second car gather?

Or, could I run a new car altogether (replacement) in the same class (because I decided to junk the old car) and still retain the points from my previous car in the same class?

Hope this all makes sense. I think I confused myself.

As far as I know you can run multiple cars but you only collect points for the car that has the best finish. No you do not need to run the same car all year.

Run whatever car you like as long as it fits the rules.

If I understand correct the points are awarded to the builder not the car so you could run a new car each month. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

I was thinking the car in that particular class was awarded the points, but it is the builder that collects the points, got it. So in essence, it would be better to run multiple cars to potentially finish higher, in whatever class, to receive more points? Hopefully I can then build a car faster than the previous entry by running it and a new build.
