As per the title, heavy, light, shake off excess, or just place in an axle holder and let it run off? I usually place all axles in the palm of my hand, spray and totally saturate and then plug them into my axle holder and wait 10 minutes. What is your technique?

Let’s hear from the gurus... but this fledgling league racer as thought by others...
Clean clean clean axles free of lint... done in clean environment as the aerosol can stirs up dust if it present.
1. Thin all over coat. Just enough to cover. Axles stuck in a block, hit one side then the other.
2. Look through eye loupe for lint and milky white spots.... this is where it’s too thick. See any of either, wash off with alcohol or dawn and do it again.
3. Let dry at least 15 to let it “gas” off. I have just learned blow drying right away to dry it works as well and I didnthat for this months APR race on my Box Stock and it worked well.

This is me doing as I am told. It works well.

Do not go thick with jig. Only enough to cover.

Hope that helps. Let’s see what others say.

Yup, balsa currently. But I do hold it up. Payed it down on a surface that ended up being unclean and the aerosol blast stirred it up. I forgot to clean first. Now I just hold the block up and spritz away. Gloved of course.

So I did a quick spray of the axles at about arms length, let it dry for 15 min, when checking with a loop I didn't see anything on the axles, is that the way it supposed to be? Or do I need to see a thin film? Next time I will check right after I sprayed to see if anything got on.
