Would anyone care to share what their preferred wheelbase is for a SS?

1. 5" Wheelbase. 1/16" separation from track edge, both front wheels, equadistant on each back wheel from track edge, but at least +1/8 separation from track. Rears should never touch track during run.
2. If body is not parallel, wood body was not cut properly.
3. However, even though body not parallel, make it so in staging, but next time cut a new body so 1. and 2. work out.

IMHO - Others have other ideas on body shaping.

Thanks Rocket,

After he said that I was thinking the same thing.

"It just looks correct"

Thanks to both of you.

For the last Man of the Mountain race, the car I entered in SS AM had a long wheel base of 5-1/2". It ran smoothly (no wiggles) and a good average time. I'm thinking of building a second SS AM car and will probably have two sets of front axle holes drilled. 4-3/4" and 5" and see which wheelbase is quicker. - Steve
