Considering adding rear fenders to our car for Districts. I can probably make something but wondering what they weigh generally. Is it worth adding to just the rear. Are they glued on or glued and pinned? Thanks.

Fenders from scratch can weigh just about anything you want them to, I would try and make them as light as possible. I typically made them from Balsa for the lightest possible fender. Nowadays I use John's GEE fenders.

If room permits I would use 4 fenders, assuming this is a 4 wheeled car. I glued my fenders on, no pins. Make it as simple as possible to install the fenders.

I just finished one rear fender made from pine. Its not quite long enough (tip broke off on me while shaping) but the shape and curvature looks good. It weighs .03oz. Seems like I could also drill into it from rear area that faces the wheel to save weight if needed.

I think I'll epoxy them on. I don't need to remove them. I can only fit rears on. The front wheels are too close to nose. Maybe I'll copy this short one I have now and save it for the front next year.
