Prepping Multiple Cars?

How do you guys that race multiple cars/classes each month schedule your prep time?

When re-prepping multiple cars, do you re-prep all your wheels and axles at the same time? If so, how do you organize things so you know which axles/wheels came off each car?

Or, do you prefer to focus on getting one car fully completed and boxed up before starting on your next car?

I re-prep one car at time from start to finish just exactly for the reason you pointed out, so that no parts get mixed up. I think I get a better re-prep job if I just do one car at a time. Hope that helps!

+1 on the container idea. Speaking of which, I thought I had some of these objects coming my way from a certain someone. (HINT) /images/boards/smilies/wave.gifThey were real cool looking too.

I make a list of everything that needs to be done on every car and check it off as I go. I will usually prep all my wheels at once. I lay them out so I know what goes where. I have only once, used the wrong axle on a car but that was because I wasn't paying attention, fixed it as soon as I did it.

WARNING - New racer posting

I prep two cars (sometimes 3) at the same time. Since I do not have a hard set prep process, I do this to study one change in the prep process (actually, its one change in the whole build process), with everything else done the same, as humanly possible. Everything is labeled / separated, so I do not inadventlly confuse the individual car parts. You'll go through a lot of cars, but you'll see what works and what doesn't. When a tip is posted, I usually have to prove it to myself, and this is the way I do it.
