Hello guys! I am new here so please forgive me if I am about to ask something already asked and put to rest. Our pack has a very old but decent wood 6 lane track and I was thinking of replacing it. However, there are several options for PWD tracks and I saw an ABS plastic track made by Supertimer. Have any of you seen or used anything like this? I have never seen such a thing, it has no center guide, so does the car bounce side to side like a pinball machine? I asked him for some video of the track in action but nothing yet. Thanx for any help you have!

i have seen one of those tracks in action, if it is bumped at all even the slightest bit all the cars will pin-ball all the way down, consistency is non existent and if you do get a car to run fast on one witch isn't likely , it wont be fast on a normal style track. the only thing those tracks have going for them is that they are cheap. also, if left stored for the summer in the heat they will warp. i will say this about it though, it works great for match box and hotwheels type cars.

Our Pack has that track and it is not consistent at all. I am going to attempt riding the outside rail this year per DD4H recommendation. It does seem the fast cars track straight so must hug the outside. One of the winning guys polished the outside of his wheels, even though our ambiguous rules seem to prohibit that

Oh and it also nearly impossible to align he track to be straight. You basically eyeball it. One year I could see a big misalignment in the middle of the track. We have to clamp the table together and hope they don't move.

Thanx for the great info. It did seem kind of interesting that for a few more dollars that we can get a besttrack. Are pack is wanting to save every penny possible, and I will let them know your thoughts. Again thanx for all the help!

As one of the pros who race year around i've raced on many different tracks. Like all these guys say you are going to be disappointed with that plastic track. Get a Best track. Easy to set up very consistent. Don't get sucked in by a slightly cheaper price. You know what they say "You get what you pay for"

Prior to ever hearing about Adult League racing, I bought a single lane plastic test track with a timer. BIG MISTAKE. Biggest problem is alignment. I put a vertical weighted drop line down from the start gate, then a horizontal line from the bottom of the weighted line to the end gate. Even after 10 test runs, the plastic track creeps one way or the other, and the difference in times from the prior run to one where I straighten out the track is significant. When I think I have a car running good, I take it to SoGon's track and find out that the car, especially the drift, needs more adjustment.
Second problem, the part of the track where the transition from the 45 degree slope to the horizontal part of the track, is gradual, whereas all the good racing tracks, like BestTrack, have one section with a much shorter, quicker bend.
So if anyone wants to buy buy plastic test track, I will give you a very good price.
