What if you're racing an RA car on a track that has side rails instead of a center rail? Are you better off with no steer, or should you try to run the DFW along the rail?

You're basically going to build your car wider in the front than in the back and steer into the side rail. I'd run the DFW backwards so the smooth side rides the side rail. Also, make sure it's narrow enough in the back or wide enough in the front to keep that rear wheel off of the side rail. Does that make sense?

Thanks, Rocket and Kinser. What you're describing is what I imagined. While it seemed that it would work, I wasn't really sure without asking. Does this tend to require about the same amount of steer as a center rail track, just going the other way? Does anybody know if there's anything special to keep in mind when doing this with RA wheels?

You'll want to build up the hub area around the axle hole on the body to get the wheel off of the body and to keep the wheel axle spacing tight. I'd use a polyester body filler or some thing like that. If you use wood filler and paint over it, it might be to soft.
